Wendy Tracy's Profile
This summer, I am excited to be participating in Run for Pathway, an initiative to help support Pathway Caring for Children’s mission to care for children throughout Northeastern Ohio. On June 17th, I will be running with four other Pathway members in a relay as part of the Canton Marathon’s inaugural races! We are called the Pathway Pavement Pounders. I love to run for exercise and be outdoors but have never done anything like this before, which I am very excited to do. As part of the run, I am raising money in support of Pathway Caring for Children’s work – funds that will change the lives of children living in foster and adoptive homes.
Pathway’s mission is to empower children and families to realize their potential and achieve the possibilities of their lives through innovative mental health, foster care, and adoption services.
I am asking you to come on board and support my campaign, along with Pathway’s mission. My goal for the campaign is to raise $250.00
Join me in supporting Pathway Caring for Children’s work – you can be confident that your donation will help make a lasting difference in the life of a child.
Many thanks for your support,
Wendy
WHY IS THE CANTON MARATHON A SPECIAL RACE FOR YOU?
I am very excited to be running with my Pathway friends and co-workers. I will be running the last leg of the relay which is 6.9 miles. I have only run one race before which was a 5k or 3.2 miles. This race is motivating me to run more and pushing myself to run further than ever before!
WHAT MADE YOU SIGN UP TO RUN FOR PATHWAY?
I have been working at Pathway for 17 years. I am very excited to have the opportunity to represent Pathway in this race and to raise money the programs that serve our children and families!
WHAT IS ON YOUR IPOD WHEN YOU ARE TRAINING?
Nickelback, LMFAO, Maroon 5, Michael Jackson, anything with a beat that will keep me going!
DO YOU HAVE ANY WORDS OF ADVICE FOR YOUR FELLOW RUNNERS?
Do your best and have fun! With this being my first big run if you have any advice for me - please share!!!
