Eric Belden's Profile

Hello,
Most of you have known me for most of my life and during that time I’ve been known to be in pretty poor physical shape.  I’ve actually been told the kind of shape I’m in could be described in one word – “ROUND”.   Although that wasn’t the most positive description I’ve ever received, for most of my life that statement has been true.  Except for the few years I got in shape really good shape and tricked my lovely wife into marrying me.  Well I’ve decided after many a beer and lots of junk food and lack of exercise I need to do something about it, not only for my wife and children but for also for myself!

The reasons listed above are enough for me to get started, I’m even more excited to announce that while I start this uphill climb I will also have a chance to raise some money for my organization.  I think you’re all aware I’ve been given the unique opportunity to impact children’s lives by proving them safe and happy home and when everything goes really well we provide a “forever family” for them through adoption.  Beginning this January I will begin training to run the first race of my life, so I decided to start small with go with a 10K, which is 6.2 miles.  To put this into perspective, the longest I have ever run at one time was 1 mile for football conditioning, and I failed.  Let’s just say running (maybe even exercise) and I don’t get along, so this is going to be a major challenge for myself.  So, I hoping your willing to “Take the next Step” with me in this journey.

I’m very excited to be participating in the Run for Pathway, which will help support Pathway Caring for Children’s mission to help care for children throughout NE Ohio.  On June, 17th 2012, I will be running with the Run for Pathway team in Canton, Ohio. As part of the run, I’m raising money to support our children and families – these funds will change the lives of children living in our foster and adoptive homes through our innovative programming.

I’m asking you to help me reach my goal of $2,500!!  Feel free start at $50 and work your way up – kidding any amount will help.  Please join me in supporting Pathway – you can be confident that your donation will help make a lasting difference in the life of a child!

Many Thanks,

Eric Belden
