I have signed up to run in Canton Marathon’s inaugural Half Marathon (13.1 miles) on June 17, 2012. Steve is running, too!
As you all know, I work at Pathway Caring for Children and I’m privileged to be co-leading Run for Pathway, a fundraiser to get runners to be part of Pathway’s Team on event day and to help raise money that will directly benefit the children in foster and adoptive homes served by Pathway.
Pathway’s mission is to empower children and families to realize their potential and achieve the possibilities of their lives through innovative mental health, foster care, and adoption services.
I am asking you to come on board and support my campaign, along with Pathway’s mission. My goal for the campaign is to raise $500. With your help, I can reach this goal.

WHY IS THE CANTON MARATHON A SPECIAL RACE FOR YOU?
It’s a brand new event!
WHAT MADE YOU SIGN UP TO RUN FOR PATHWAY?
Well, I kinda had to sign-up if I'm encouraging all of my co-workers and friends to run! Actually, I haven't run a race since I was pregnant with Brynlee so it's time to get back into the groove.
WHAT IS ON YOUR IPOD WHEN YOU ARE TRAINING?
I still have no idea how to purchase music on iTunes (I'll probably have Maybree teach me)! I like all kinds of music, so I listen to Simon and Garfunkel, Coldplay and when I really need an energy boost, I rock out to "Come on Eileen" by Dexys Midnight Runners and pretend my name is Eileen! I’m trying audio books now and find Tina Fay’s Bossy Pants very entertaining!
DO YOU HAVE ANY WORDS OF ADVICE FOR YOUR FELLOW RUNNERS?
On race day, make sure to take out your earbuds for a few minutes to soak in the sounds of thousands of tennis shoes hitting the pavement - it's exhilarating!
